Wild Horse's part 7

The next six weeks flew by; every Friday jess would join him and his friends at the bar. She would watch him in wonder as nick took to the stage and sang as if they were the only two in the room. She spent most nights with him in his place not that they got a lot of sleep, life was going great. Working with her father during the day caring and training the horses, then stealing any romantic moments with nick when she could. She couldn’t get enough of him, was she falling in love with him?

Walking into the bar jess had never felt more nervous, she had to tell him. Searching for nick she scanned the crowed and spotted him at a table with his friends. Taking a step forward jess then paused when she saw him wrap his arms around a leggy blonde and hugged her close to him as he kissed her on the cheek almost on the lips. A gut wrenching panic boiled over inside her and she felt like her heart actually broke in two. Spinning around she left the bar and drove back to the ranch with tears in her eyes. Ignoring her mother in the kitchen jess went straight to her room and began throwing clothes and other essentials into a bag. Her mother stood in the door way and watched her daughter pack. “What’s wrong, where are you going” she wanted to know but tried to keep the panic out of her voice. “I need to get out of here for a while and clear my head mum, I saw nick with another woman” she blurted out between sobs. “I’m going to visit my friend Sarah in the city for a while. Please don’t tell nick where I am I need time” she begged. Zipping up her bag her mother helped carry it out to the car. “Tell dad I’m sorry and I said goodbye. I’ll call when I get there”. Jess hugged her mother goodbye and got into her car and drove away leaving her mother crying in the rear view mirror.
